The Community Development Fund is a new stimulus fund created in response to the economic challenges of the global recession. Funded through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario’s Community Adjustment Fund, $450,000 has been contributed to support our local economy and community development through the Orillia Area Community Development Corporation.
All funds must be spent by March 31, 2010.
The CDC is now accepting applications from businesses, non-profit organizations and municipalities within the region.
Who can apply?
If you are a business, municipality or non-profit community organization within the Orillia Area CDC region, you are eligible to apply. The Orillia Area CDC serves the City of Orillia, Townships of Oro-Medonte, Ramara and Severn and the Chippewas of Rama First Nation.
How to apply:
There are FIVE funding categories, each with specific Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria.
1) Business Development Fund
2) Internship Fund: (a) – for Youth; and (b) – for non-Youth
3) Skills Development Fund
4) Local Initiatives Fund (for municipalities and non-profits only)
5) Community Capacity Fund (for municipalities and non-profits only)
